Explanation
When listening to an audio text we first remember the topic, then key words needed for the questions. The textbook has the audio text “O‘lkamizda qish” (Winter in our land). We do not repeat it; the teacher reads our own audio text below aloud, children listen and answer questions. In winter we dress warmly and protect our head and hands so as not to freeze.
Worked examples
Audio text “Our land in winter”. In Uzbekistan winter lasts from December to February. In the mountains much snow falls, while on the plains there is frost and sometimes rain. On the Chimyon slopes people ski. Children slide on sledges in the yard and make snowmen. On cold days one must wear a warm jacket, hat and gloves. Coming indoors it is useful to dry the clothes and drink hot tea. Even in winter a walk in fresh air is good for health.
Question: In which months does winter last? Answer: from December to February.
