Explanation

Abu Rayhan Beruni was a great Uzbek scholar. He was born in 973 in Kot (Kath), an ancient town of Khorezm, and died in 1048. Beruni studied astronomy, mathematics, geography, history and many other sciences. Among his famous works there is a large book about India. Beruni was one of the scholars who calculated the size of the Earth. The textbook gives a text about Beruni by Pirmat Shermuhammedov. We do not repeat it; we read our own text.

Worked examples
“Studying Beruni”. Our class held a “Great scholars” week. I collected information about Beruni. From his youth he loved reading books and learned several languages. The scholar calculated the size of the Earth. The more Beruni read, the more new questions he found. Taking an example from historical figures, I decided never to tire of gaining knowledge.
Key dates: 973 – born; 1048 – died. 1048 − 973 = 75 years.
