CLIL Math: what time is it around the world?

Textbook: pp. 54–55
GoalUnderstand that the time is different in different places (time zones).
New words
time zone · vaqt mintaqasinoon · tushmidnight · yarim tunahead · oldinda
Explanation

The Earth turns, so it is day in one place and night in another. Time differs between zones. For example, when it is noon (12:00) in Tashkent it is 4:00 p.m. in Tokyo (4 hours ahead), 11:00 a.m. in Dubai (1 hour behind) and 10:00 a.m. in Moscow (2 hours behind). Sentence: “It’s twelve in Tashkent. It’s four in the afternoon in Tokyo.”

Worked examples
It’s noon in Tashkent. It’s four o’clock in Tokyo.
When it’s day here, it can be night in another country.
