Explanation
Many years ago many educated and good people were treated unjustly and made to suffer. They were teachers, writers and poets of our people. We call this hard time “qatag‘on” (repression). We will never forget them. In Tashkent there is a museum and a memorial complex devoted to their memory. On the Remembrance Day we recall them with respect.
Worked examples
“Memory”. Dilshod went with his grandmother to the memorial complex in Tashkent. There were trees and a big monument there. His grandmother said how much the learned people worked for the nation. Dilshod quietly laid a flower. He promised to read their books when he grew up. Memory is a lamp in our hearts.
Memory means not forgetting. Intellectuals are educated people.
