Write one sentence of your own for each of the four styles and point out its feature.
For example: publicistic – «Maktabimizda ekologiya haftaligi boshlandi» (“An ecology week began at our school”). Artistic – «Shamol barglar bilan o‘ynashdi» (“The wind played with the leaves”). Scientific – «Suv 0 °C da muzlaydi» (“Water freezes at 0 °C”). Official – «Dars jadvali tasdiqlansin» (“Let the timetable be approved”).

Find a 3-sentence passage in the publicistic style in a newspaper or website and write its features.
Features: a social topic, information, evaluation or an appeal, short and clear sentences.

Write two or three sentences about “rain” in the artistic and in the scientific style.
Artistic: «Yomg‘ir tomlarga kumush tanga sochdi» (“The rain scattered silver coins on the roofs”). Scientific: «Yomg‘ir – atmosferadagi suv bug‘i kondensatsiyalanishidan hosil bo‘ladigan yog‘in» (“Rain is precipitation formed by condensation of water vapour in the atmosphere”).

Why does a stage work, although performed orally, belong to the artistic style? Explain.
Because the text is created with imagery and an artistic purpose; oral performance changes only the form, while style depends on purpose.
