Stylistics of word order in the sentence
Answers are for parents and teachers.
1
Write one sentence of your own in four different orders and say each time on which member the stress is.
For example: «Dilnoza bog‘da kitobni ertalab o‘qidi» – stress on «ertalab» (in the morning); «Dilnoza ertalab kitobni bog‘da o‘qidi» – on «bog‘da» (in the garden); «Dilnoza ertalab bog‘da kitobni o‘qidi» – on «kitobni» (the book); «Ertalab bog‘da kitobni Dilnoza o‘qidi» – on «Dilnoza». The member just before the predicate carries the stress.
2
Make two sentences with poetic inversion and write their normal form.
For example: «Ochildi tong, uyg‘ondi dunyo» → «Tong ochildi, dunyo uyg‘ondi» (“Dawn broke, the world awoke”).
3
Make up one sentence of an official letter and write why it has no inversion.
«Sizning arizangiz ko‘rib chiqildi» (“Your application has been considered”) – the order is normal because a document must be exact and objective.
4
Place logical stress on three different members of «Men seni kutaman» and write the difference in meaning.
Men (not another person) will wait for you; you (not another person) I will wait for; I will wait (not search).
