Stylistics of suffixes of subjective evaluation
Answers are for parents and teachers.
1
Make six sentences with the suffixes -cha, -choq, -gina, -jon, -xon, -toy.
For example: «Kitobchani oldim» (“I took the booklet”), «Toychoq yugurdi» (“The foal ran”), «Bolagina uxlab yotibdi» (“The dear child is sleeping”), «Akajon keldi» (“Dear brother came”), «Otaxon o‘tirdilar» (“Dear father sat down”), «O‘g‘iltoy, bu yoqqa kel» (“Dear son, come here”).
2
Make one example each of positive and negative use of an evaluation form.
Positive: «Qizginam, ovqatlan» (“My dear girl, eat”). Negative: «Bu yigitchaning gapiga ishonma» (“Don’t believe what this little fellow says”).
3
Rewrite three words with evaluation forms without them for a scientific text.
For example: kitobcha → kichik kitob (small book); daraxtcha → ko‘chat (sapling); bolajon → bola (child).
4
Why is it important to know whom an evaluation form is addressed to? Write 3 sentences.
The same form can be affection or belittling depending on tone and person; correct address to elders is part of politeness; inappropriate use offends.
