Stylistics of case suffixes
Answers are for parents and teachers.
1
Make two pairs of sentences with marked and unmarked accusative and write the difference.
For example: «Maqola yozdi» (“He wrote an article”) – «Maqolani yozdi» (“He wrote the article”, a definite one); «Gul oldi» (“She took flowers”) – «Gulni oldi» (“She took the flower”).
2
Make sentences with the accusative and the ablative (suv, osh) expressing part and whole.
For example: «Suvni ichdi – suvdan ichdi» (“drank the water – drank some of the water”), «Oshni yedi – oshdan yedi» (“ate the plov – ate some of the plov”).
3
Replace the case in three sentences by the postpositions uchun, tomon, bilan and state the difference.
For example: «Ukamga oldim» → «Ukam uchun oldim» (“I bought it for my brother”); «Maktabga yurdi» → «Maktab tomon yurdi» (“He walked toward the school”); «Qalamda yozdi» → «Qalam bilan yozdi» (“He wrote with a pencil”).
4
Find two examples of shortened case forms in a poem (from a book).
For example: forms like «yurtin», «dilin» (in poems).
