blessing, gift · ne’matecology · ekologiyawaste, rubbish · chiqindiprotection · muhofaza
Explanation
Nature gives us air, water, bread, fruit and beauty. We compare it to a mother and call it “mother nature” because it feeds us. The textbook has the audio text “Tabiat — bebaho ne’mat” (Nature is a priceless gift). We do not repeat it; we listen to our own audio text. Ecology is the science of the connection between living nature and the environment. Protecting nature is the duty of each of us.
Worked examples
Audio text “Cleaning day”. In spring our school held a nature-cleaning day. Children collected paper and glass rubbish from the riverbank. Adults planted tree seedlings. The teacher explained that water must be saved: it is enough to close the tap when brushing teeth. By the end of the day the yard was clean and green. All the children were proud of helping nature.
True/false: 1) Children collected rubbish. (true) 2) We should let water run a lot. (false)
