Explanation
The teacher reads the text twice. The first time listen for the fruit; the second time listen for the steps. A smoothie is a drink made by mixing fruit with milk or water. Making verbs: wash, cut, mix, drink.

“A mango smoothie”. Today I make a mango smoothie with my brother. First we wash two mangoes. Then we cut them. We put the mango in a blender with some milk. There aren’t any bananas, so we use a few grapes. We mix everything. The smoothie is sweet and cold. We drink it on the balcony.

“Smoothie recipe”: groups “make” a smoothie from 3 fruits (on paper). They tell the steps: “First we wash … Then we cut … We mix …” Another group picks a name.
