Reading: what sports do you like?

Explanation

When reading, look at the title and the questions first, then read the text. To give an opinion: “I think … is fun.” “My favorite sport is …” Reason: “because it is exciting.” Adjectives: fun, exciting, easy, difficult.

Worked examples
“Sports day”. Our school has a sports day every spring. Girls and boys play volleyball in two teams. Some children run and others jump. I do gymnastics and I love it. It isn’t easy, but it is fun. My friend Rustam plays badminton. His team often wins. We all clap for every player. I think sport is good for everybody.
I think football is exciting because the game is fast.
Class activity

“My opinion”: children write their favorite sport and a reason: “My favorite sport is … because …”. Then vote and make a class chart.
