Explanation

Telling time: 7:00 — seven o’clock; 7:30 — seven thirty (or half past seven); 7:15 — seven fifteen; 7:45 — seven forty-five. We use “at” before a time: “I get up at seven o’clock.” “I have dinner at seven thirty.” In digital form we write 7:30.

Worked examples
I go to school at eight o’clock. I have lunch at twelve thirty.
She goes to bed at nine fifteen.
Class activity

“Set the clock”: children use a cardboard clock. The teacher says a time (“four thirty”) and they set it. Then pairs say “I have dinner at …”.
