Ko‘chirma va o‘zlashtirma gap

Reporting verb o‘tgan zamonda (said, told) bo‘lsa, gap ichidagi zamon odatda orqaga suriladi: Present Simple → Past Simple (reads → read), Present Continuous → Past Continuous (is reading → was reading), am/is → was, are → were, do/does → did, will → would, am/is/are going to → was/were going to. Payt va joy so‘zlari ham o‘zgaradi: today → that day, tonight → that night, now → then, tomorrow → the next day, here → there, this → that, these → those. Told dan keyin kim ekanligi aytiladi: She told me that ... ; said dan keyin esa shart emas: She said that ... . Agar gap hanuz rost bo‘lsa, zamonni o‘zgartirmasa ham bo‘ladi.
