Explanation

Steven Paul Jobs was born in San Francisco on 24 February 1955. Paul and Clara Jobs adopted him, and the family lived in the area that is now called Silicon Valley. As a boy he was interested in electronics; later he met Steve Wozniak and in 1976 they started the Apple company together. Jobs presented the Macintosh computer in 1984, left Apple in 1985, later worked with the Pixar studio too and returned to Apple in 1997. Under him the iPod (2001) and the iPhone (2007) appeared. He died in 2011. When you read a biography, pick out dates, places and achievements, and use the Past Simple.
