Explanation
Project 1. Run a survey in your group: each pupil says which music genre they like. Turn the results into percentages: percent = (number × 100) ÷ total. For example, if 8 of 20 pupils like pop, then 8 × 100 ÷ 20 = 40%. The parts of a pie graph add up to 100%. Describing phrase: According to the graph, the favourite style is ... . Project 2. Write four paragraphs about a musical hero: 1) name, when and where born, job; 2) when they became famous, main achievements; 3) other interests; 4) why you admire them. When you finish, check for mistakes.
Worked examples
Our group has 20 pupils. According to the graph, the favourite style is pop (40%). Folk music is second (25%). Classical music has 15%, rap has 10% and jazz has 10%. Most pupils say that music makes them feel happy.
My musical hero: Mukhtar Ashrafi was born in 1912 in Bukhara. He was a composer and conductor. He wrote operas and symphonic works. I admire him because he developed Uzbek national music.
