Explanation

In this unit we studied winter similes, the genres of tale and legend, listening to audio text, snow games and the theme of kindness. The authors of the textbook works: Dilshod Rajab, Xudoyberdi To‘xtaboyev, Po‘lat Mo‘min, Abdulla Oripov. In review we remember the signs of each genre and apply them in a new short text.

Worked examples
“Winter holiday”. On a winter night grandfather told us a tale: “Once there was, once there wasn’t, a seed sleeping under the snow.” At the end of the tale the seed sprouted in spring and became a flower. The next day we made a snowman with classmates and felt that the snow is soft like cotton. We took hot bread to our lonely old neighbour. At New Year everybody congratulated each other with joy.
Task: find the comparison (snow like cotton) and the tale opening in the text.
Class activity

“Genre market”: children sort text-snippet cards by genre (tale, legend, poem, interview).
