Explanation

In “Tong otmoqda” dawn is given as the hope and purity of a new day; the sun is likened to a cannon and its rays to bullets, and it is said that people live for this dawn. In “Yomg‘ir yog‘ar” the poet feels grief and joy under the rain, opens his breast to it, the rain is forgotten and his heart begins to pour onto paper as a poem; the key line is repeated six times. In “Yoz kechasi” the cracking of a ripe melon, fallen peaches, sleeping fields, wakeful water, grasshoppers and warm rain are depicted. In “Yana qaytib keldim...” the lyric hero expresses longing for his village, his mother, bread from the tandoor and well water. In “Yurak” the poet converses with his heart, admits that it is right and wishes that the homeland and the world be safe.

Worked examples
Example: The repetition of the line “Yomg‘ir yog‘ar” six times creates the sound and rhythm of rain – this is takrir.
Example: “Sleep drowses in the fields” – the fields sleep like humans: this is personification.
