Explanation
Zahiriddin Muhammad Bobur (1483â1530) is introduced in the textbook through the views of two scholars. According to Sayid Sabohiddin Abdurahmon, Bobur lived in India for about three years and eight months after the battle of Panipat, during which he established peace among an unsettled population, involved emirs who knew local customs and made the road between Agra and Kabul safe; he treated religion with respect but did not let sectarian disputes into the court. The English scholar Denison Ross places Bobur in Turkic poetry second only to Navoi: he compiled a divan, wrote the legal work âMubayyinâ in verse, composed a treatise on aruz and translated the âRisolayi volidiya.â He was also the author of the âVaqoyeââ (that is, the âBoburnomaâ) and had a refined understanding of music and other arts.
