Explanation
The past passive participle describes a thing on which an action was completed: «прочитанная книга» (a book that has been read). It is usually formed from transitive perfective verbs. Suffixes: «-нн-» (after stems in «а, я»: «прочитать — прочитанный, сделать — сделанный»), «-енн-/-ённ-» (after «и, е» and consonant stems: «построить — построенный, решить — решённый, принести — принесённый»), «-т-» («закрыть — закрытый, открыть — открытый, сшить — сшитый»). The full form has «нн», the short form one «н»: «прочитанная книга — книга прочитана». The short participle changes only by gender and number: «сделан, сделана, сделано, сделаны», and serves as the predicate: «Урок окончен». Compare «Бахром, починивший велосипед» (active) — «Велосипед, починенный Бахромом» (passive).

Everything is ready for the holiday.)
