Explanation
Nodar Dumbadze was born on 14 July 1928 in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, and died in 1984. His first collection of stories “Qishloq bolalari” (Village Children) came out in 1958. The novella “Men, buvim, Iliko va Illarion” was written in 1960 and the novel “Quyoshni ko‘ryapman” in 1962. In his works the writer praises humanity, loyalty, honesty and love of the homeland. His novels “Oq bayroqlar” (1972) and “Abadiyat qonuni” (1978) are famous. The translator Nizom Komil rendered his works into Uzbek. The textbook includes his story “Hellados” in a slightly shortened form.
