Explanation
The textbook has three logic tasks. In the first, a chart is made for Yanguli and Jamol: each character’s good sides and shortcomings are written, then the most moving character is chosen. In the second, traits of each character are found and supported by examples from the text. In the third, a letter is written to the chosen character: what you liked or did not like, plus advice and recommendations. Every answer must rely on a concrete event in the text. It is also useful to review the year’s works by genre – proverb, riddle, hadith, fable, tale, doston, qasida, story, qissa.
Worked examples
Example: “Jamol is brave; proof: he did not submit to the bully” – claim + evidence.
Example: genre table: Aesop – fable, Hamid Olimjon – tale-doston, Oripov – qasida.
