Daily routine
A daily routine is a timetable of the things you do during the day. It includes meals, lessons, homework, play and sport, rest and sleep. A child who lives by a routine does not get so tired, has time for everything and stays healthy. School-age children are advised to sleep about 9–11 hours at night. During sleep the body rests and grows, and the brain sorts out what was learned. When tired, change the kind of activity: after study, play or exercise, or take a walk in fresh air. Long hours in front of a phone or TV tire the eyes, so that time should be limited. Keep a routine in summer holidays too.
Write your day as a timetable with hours: sleep, meals, lessons, homework, play, helping at home. Compare with a classmate. Also plan a summer-holiday routine.
