Study with others (A)
Every + singular noun, with a singular verb: Every student has a role. All + plural noun or uncountable noun: All students have roles; All the information is useful. Every sees each person separately, while all sees the group as a whole. Everyone, everybody and everything take a singular verb. Fixed phrases: every day (each day) – all day (the whole day); every time – all the time. Teamwork needs everyone’s participation, clear roles, mutual respect and regular communication. When you write a definition use a noun + that/who clause: A team is a group of people who work toward the same goal. When you study with friends you explain difficult parts to one another and find mistakes together.
“Team task”: groups build a paper tower in ten minutes and then discuss the roles (leader, timekeeper, builder, speaker).
