Even and odd numbers

Explanation

If you put objects into pairs and none is left over, the number is even. If one is left over, it is odd. 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 are even. 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 are odd. On a street, the houses on one side have even numbers and on the other side odd numbers.

Worked examples

👟👟 👟👟 👟 → 5 is odd (one has no partner).
