GoalUse comparison words for height, width and length.
New words
tall — short · baland — pastwide — narrow · keng — torlong — short · uzun — qisqabig — small · katta — kichik
Explanation

When we compare two objects we use pairs of opposite words. A tower is taller than a house; the house is shorter than the tower. A highway is wide; a footpath is narrow. A rope can be long and a thread short.

Worked examples
Two pencils: one is longer, one is shorter. To find the longer one we lay them side by side with their ends lined up.
The Islam Khoja minaret in Khiva is taller than the Kalta Minor.
Class activity

Children work in two groups. Each group finds a pair of objects in the room and makes a sentence: “... is longer / taller / wider than ...”.

An elephant and a mouse: which is smaller?
2
“A river is wide, a stream is ...” Finish the sentence.
3
