Объяснение
In a descriptive text the author “paints” a thing, place, person or scene in words, that is, portrays how it looks. While a narrative text says what happened, a descriptive text shows what something is like: colour, shape, size, smell, sound. Therefore it has many adjectives, similes and epithets, and few verbs. Homogeneous parts are widely used in description because they help list features one after another. The descriptive text occurs in conversation, literary and other forms of speech. For a good description we first observe, then choose the most important features and write them in order: from the general appearance to the details.

Mini-description: “The school garden.” At the edge of the schoolyard there is a low, dense, green garden. The branches of the trees intertwine and form a shading dome. At dawn the leaves glitter with dew and the air fills with the smell of freshly cut grass.
