Working with business papers
Textbook: p. 137
ЦельOfficial papers — the structure and writing of an explanatory note, an invitation and a certificate.
Official papers are texts used in formal business that follow a set pattern. An explanatory note is written by a pupil or employee to explain a cause (for example, missing lessons). Its structure: to whom (position, name), from whom (class, name), the title of the document (“tushuntirish xati”), the text, an enclosure (if any), a signature and a date. An invitation is written to invite someone to an event: an address, the name of the event, its time and place. A certificate is issued by an institution and confirms some fact (for example where someone studies); it contains the addressee, signature and seal. In official papers the thought is expressed briefly, exactly and in an orderly official style; respect to the addressee must be shown.
