GoalRecognise signs of mood and treat a friend with understanding of how they feel.
New words
mood · kayfiyatanger · jahlto apologise · kechirim so‘rashto make up · yarashish
Explanation
Each of us has a different character and mood. Mood shows in the face, voice and movement: a happy person smiles, a sad person frowns or goes quiet. When we feel angry, we don’t speak rudely; we breathe slowly and calm down. If we make a mistake, we apologise and make up.
Worked examples
“The friend who frowned”. Shahlo was upset in the morning. Her friend Sevara noticed and asked: “What happened?” Shahlo said: “My cat went missing today.” Sevara listened and offered to look for it together. Shahlo felt a little better.
Class activity
“Mood faces”: the teacher names a mood and children show it with their faces; then they suggest ways to calm down when angry.
