Explanation
Kindness means helping people, cheering them up and making them happy. Care and kindness are among the best human qualities. Kindness shows in the street, at school, in a shop and on transport: holding a door, helping carry a heavy bag, being able to forgive. When we do good, we feel happy too. There is a saying: “Do good and throw it into the river.”
Worked examples
“The door”. At the school door Aziz held the door for a little girl coming behind him. She said: “Thank you!” Aziz smiled. His mood was good all day.
Class activity
“Secret good-deeds agent”: each child quietly does one kind act and notes it; at the end of the week they tell what they did.
