GoalKnow the safety rules for dealing with strangers and how to ask for help when needed.
New words
unknown person · notanishpermission · ruxsatambulance · tez yordamcaution · ehtiyotkorlik
Explanation
We don’t tell strangers about ourselves and our family. We don’t take gifts or sweets from them and don’t get into their car. If we are home alone, we open the door only to family members. If someone scares us or behaves strangely, we say “No!”, call loudly for help and tell an adult. Nobody has the right to touch us. Police is 102, ambulance is 103.
Worked examples
“The unknown uncle”. Leaving school, a stranger told Ziyoda: “Your mother sent me, get in the car.” Ziyoda remembered: my parents would have told me in advance. She shouted “No!”, ran to the school door where the teachers stood and told them what happened.
Class activity
“What do I do?”: the teacher states a situation (“A stranger offers sweets”); children practise saying aloud “No! I’ll tell an adult.”
