Text analysis. Consolidation of Chapters III–IV
Answers are for parents and teachers.
1
Write a 2–3 sentence sample of each of three text types (narrative, descriptive, reasoning).
Check: each sample must show the features of its type (sequence of events, description, thesis-argument-conclusion).
2
Rewrite “The Old Clock” from a narrative into a descriptive text in 3–4 sentences.
The answer should concentrate on describing the clock’s appearance and sound.
3
Edit: “Barcha o‘nta talabalar 8-inchi sinfdan beri eng yaxshiroq kitob o‘qishadi, ustoz aytdi Ilm – nur”.
For example: O‘nta talaba 8-sinfdan beri eng yaxshi kitoblarni o‘qiydi. Ustoz aytdi: «Ilm – nur».
4
Start a diary: leave a 4–5 sentence entry about today and determine its type.
The answer is personal; usually of the narrative or reasoning type.
5
Why is the order “first idioms and proverbs, then suffixes, then sentence and punctuation” convenient in editing? Explain briefly.
Because content and style are checked first, then form and writing, so the chance of missing a mistake decreases.
