GoalLinking words for reason: because, since, as, because of, due to; illnesses and passive smoking.
New words
patient · bemortreatment · davolashinfection · infeksiyainhale smoke · tutunni nafasga olmoq
Explanation

There are two groups of reason words. Before a full clause (subject + verb): because, since, as – She stayed at home because she had a fever. Before a noun or noun phrase: because of, due to, owing to – She stayed at home because of a fever. Since and as usually come at the start of a sentence when the reason is already known: As it was late, the clinic had closed. Before choosing, check whether what follows is a clause or a noun. Passive (second-hand) smoking means breathing in smoke from other people’s cigarettes; non-smokers are also at risk, because tobacco smoke contains harmful chemicals.

Worked examples
Children living with smokers may get more coughs because their lungs are still developing.
The match was moved indoors due to heavy rain.
Class activity
