Good or poor service (A)
An adverb of manner shows how an action is done. Most are formed by adding -ly to the adjective: polite → politely, careful → carefully, quick → quickly. If the adjective ends in -y, change y to i: easy → easily, happy → happily. Irregular forms: good → well; fast → fast; hard → hard (hardly means almost not!); late → late (lately means recently). The adverb usually comes after the verb or object: She served the customers politely. He packed the order carefully. An adjective describes a noun, an adverb describes a verb: a quick waiter – the waiter worked quickly. To describe the quality of service: The staff treated us respectfully, but the food arrived slowly.
“Do it like...”: a student acts an action (open the door slowly / angrily / quietly) and the others guess the adverb.
