Simple and composite sentences
Ответы — для родителей и учителей.
1
Write two simple and two composite sentences; underline the predicates.
Composite sentences need two predicates, simple ones one.
2
Make composite sentences with: lekin, shuning uchun, chunki.
For example: Men bordim, lekin u yo‘q edi. Yo‘l uzoq, shuning uchun erta chiqdik. Uyda o‘tirdim, chunki shamol kuchli edi.
3
State the parts of “Qo‘ng‘iroq chalindi, o‘quvchilar sinfga kirishdi” (the bell rang, the pupils went into the classroom) and how they are linked.
Parts: “Qo‘ng‘iroq chalindi” and “o‘quvchilar sinfga kirishdi”; no conjunction, linked by intonation only.
4
Write the list of linking means in your notebook in groups (coordinating, subordinating, other means).
Coordinating: va, hamda, ammo, lekin, biroq, yo; subordinating: agar, chunki, toki; others: bo‘lsa, esa, deb, -u, -da, -ki, -sa.
