Объяснение
To ask about something we use an interrogative sentence («вопросительное предложение»), which ends with a question mark. The question is built with question words («кто, что, где, куда, когда, как, почему, сколько, который»), with words like «ли», «разве», «неужели», and with intonation. «Ли» always stands after the word being asked about: «Читал ли ты эту книгу?». If there is no question word, intonation alone carries the question: «Ты придёшь завтра?». The voice stresses the word that holds the question, so the expected answer changes: in «Алишер вернулся из Бухары в пятницу?» stressing «Алишер» asks who, stressing «в пятницу» asks when.

Four forms of one question: «Ты читаешь?» (intonation only); «Что ты читаешь?» (question word); «Читаешь ли ты?» («ли»); «Неужели ты читаешь без словаря?» («неужели»).

Why does the answer to the same sentence depend on the stressed word?
Because the stress shows where the question lies: who, what was done, or when.
