Explanation
Things in a shop have a price. A pencil costs ₹5. With ₹8 you have enough, and ₹3 is left. A ball costs ₹16. With ₹10 you need ₹6 more. Saving means keeping some money for later.
Worked examples
Fatima has ₹10. A kite costs ₹7. She has enough, and ₹3 is left.
Rohan has ₹5 in coins. A lollipop costs ₹8. He needs ₹3 more.
Meera puts ₹2 in her coin jar every day. After 3 days she has ₹6.
Class activity
Saving plan. Think of one small thing you would like. Draw it and write a price on it. If you could save ₹2 every day, how many days would you need? Count in 2s to find out.
