Explanation

Here are 3 mangoes in one bowl. Here are 2 mangoes in another bowl. Put them together. Count them all: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. 3 and 2 altogether make 5. Joining groups is called adding.

Put 4 spoons on one side of a mat and 4 spoons on the other side. Count them all: 8.
Class activity
