Explanation

To ask the way we say Excuse me, how do I get to the post office? or Could you tell me the way to ...? Useful directions are: Go along this street, Turn left / right, It’s on the corner, It’s opposite the bank. In the post office the customer says what he or she needs with I’d like to send ...: I’d like to send a parcel by air mail. The clerk weighs the parcel, and the price depends on the weight: price per kilo. A registered letter needs a signature when it is received. Note: telegrams are rarely used today; most people use e-mail or messages.
