Explanation

The proverb “Tan sihatlik – tuman boylik” means that good health is the greatest wealth. The textbook gives a tale of this name as an audio text. We do not retell it; we listen to our own audio text. While listening we do not look at the book and we note 3–4 key words. Then we explain the proverb in our own words: a healthy person studies, works and plays, while for a sick person even money brings no joy. Health depends on a daily routine: sleeping on time, walking in fresh air, doing exercise, eating well-washed fruit.

Worked examples
Audio text “Anvar’s routine”. Anvar got up every morning and opened the window. He did five minutes of exercise, then washed his face and hands and had breakfast. He walked to school and breathed fresh air. In the evening he went to bed at nine o’clock. His classmate Sanjar, however, went to bed late and could hardly open his eyes in the morning. A month later Anvar was strong, but Sanjar was tired. Sanjar also changed to a routine and began to feel well.
Key words: exercise, breakfast, fresh air, sleep. Meaning of the proverb: health is wealth that cannot be bought with money.
