Explanation

The textbook has the continuation of “Arining qasosi” (Part 2), where the consequences of events are shown and the boy realises his mistake. We do not retell it. To predict the continuation we recall the beginning and think “If ..., then ...”. At the end of a story we draw a conclusion: what did the character learn? When a bee or wasp stings, an adult washes the spot with soap and puts something cold on it; the child stays calm and calls adults.

Worked examples
“A friend’s help”. Ali, playing in the field, felt something sting him and cried out. His friend Rustam did not panic: “Calm down, I’ll call an adult now,” he said and ran towards a neighbour. The man washed the stung spot with soap and put a cold cloth on it. Ali felt much better. In the evening his parents looked at him again and again: his face was not swollen and his breathing was calm. Ali thanked Rustam and understood how important it is to stay calm.
Prediction: “If Rustam had run away in fear, Ali would have been left alone.” Conclusion: a friend helps calmly in hard moments.
Class activity

“Guess the ending”: the teacher reads half the text; pairs predict the continuation in 2 sentences, then the real ending is read.

Practice

2
What did Rustam do?
3
What did the man do to the stung spot?
4
What did the adults check in the evening?
5
What conclusion do you draw from the text?
