Snowmen and a bee (from waste material)
Bubble wrap was invented in 1957 by two inventors. They first meant it as wallpaper, but it became famous as packaging that protects objects from knocks. The bubbles absorb shocks, so it keeps fragile things safe. It looks soft and snowy, which is why it works well for snowmen. The same wrap and a cardboard tube can also become a striped bee.
You need: bubble wrap, white card, scissors, PVA glue (or double-sided tape), coloured paper, felt-tip pen. Steps: 1) Cut three circles from card: big, medium, small. 2) Glue bubble wrap on them and trim the extra. 3) Stack the circles from the bottom, starting with the biggest. 4) Add an orange triangle nose, a hat and a scarf, and draw the eyes. Safety: do not pop the bubbles for fun, as bits are left on the desk; use scissors carefully.
