A lamb from cotton wool
Cotton is the snow-white fibre that grows around the seeds of a bushy plant, the cotton plant. In summer it flowers: the flower is yellowish at first and then turns pink. When the flower drops, a green boll appears in its place and grows. By autumn the boll splits open and shows the fluffy fibre inside. Picked cotton is cleaned at a factory and turned into thread, cloth, medical cotton wool and filling for quilts and pillows.
You need: card, cotton wool, black paper, glue, scissors, pencil. Steps: 1) Draw and cut out a lamb body from card. 2) Spread glue on it and stick on small pieces of cotton wool. 3) Cut a head and four legs from black paper and attach them. 4) Add eyes, ears and some grass. Safety: do not breathe in or put cotton fibres in your mouth; keep glue away from your eyes.
