Explanation
Talent is a bright, rare ability in some activity. Everyone has some talent: one writes beautifully, one is strong in sport, one plays music. To find our ability we notice what we like doing. Talent grows through practice and hard work. We should use it for things that benefit others.
Worked examples
“Doira player”. Sadaf loved playing the doira (a frame drum). She practised half an hour every day. A year later she played at the school concert. Everyone clapped. Sadaf said: “Without practice I couldn’t play like this.”
Class activity
“Talent day”: each child shows a skill in 1 minute (poem, dance, drawing, counting); the class applauds.
