Explanation
When we say a consonant, the air is blocked by the tongue, lips or teeth. Consonants are made of voice and noise. Uzbek has 24 consonant sounds, written with 23 letters.

maktab (school): m, k, t, b are consonants; a, a are vowels
The lips close and open for b, p, m.
