Explanation

Vowels are made when air leaves the mouth freely, without being blocked. Uzbek has 6 vowels: a, o, i, e, u, o‘. Vowels make syllables — without them we could not say words.

Worked examples
shaftoli (peach): a, o, i — 3 vowels
Riddle: “Six brothers live on one page” — the vowel letters.
Class activity

The teacher says a word; children raise a hand each time they hear a vowel and count them.

Practice
1
List the vowels.
2
Find the vowels in kitob (book).
3
Find the word that starts with a vowel: olma, nok, gilos
