Textbook Part 2, pp. 58–61
GoalKnow words that describe people and things, and find words with opposite meanings.
New words
feature, quality · belgilong — short · uzun — qisqahot — cold · issiq — sovuqopposite · qarama-qarshi
Explanation

Some words tell what a thing is like — its feature: uzun (long), baland (tall), issiq (hot), qattiq (hard). Among them are opposites: katta — kichik (big — small), shirin — achchiq (sweet — bitter), oq — qora (white — black). We underline describing words with a wavy line.

Worked examples
uzun yo‘l (long road) — qisqa yo‘l (short road); baland tog‘ (high mountain) — past tepa (low hill)
Qishda havo sovuq, yozda issiq. (In winter the air is cold, in summer it is hot.)
