Explanation
The vowels a and o can sound similar, so it is easy to mix them up in writing. To spell correctly, say the word slowly and carefully: katta (big) is right, “kotta” is wrong.
Worked examples
shamol (wind) is right, not “shomol”; havo (air) is right, not “hovo”
Tongue twister: the strong bear loves honey, because honey is the best.
Class activity
Spot the mistakes: the teacher reads a letter with words like “kotta” and “yoshaydi”; children correct them.
