Building a text

Textbook Part 1, pp. 84–87
GoalOrder sentences by meaning to build a short text and give it a title.
New words
text · matntitle · sarlavhaplan · reja
Explanation

A text is two or more sentences about one topic. Fairy tales, poems, stories and riddles are texts too. In a text the sentences come in the right order: what happened first, what happened next. A text gets a title that fits its topic.

Worked examples
The Sapling. Dilshod planted a sapling in the yard. He watered it every day. In spring the sapling put out leaves.
Plan: 1) Planting. 2) Caring. 3) The result.
Class activity

Children put three picture cards (seed — sprout — flower) in the right order and say one sentence for each picture to make a short text.
