New words
beekeeper · asalarichibeehive · ariqutito put in order · tartibga solmoq
Explanation
Check yourself: what do you know and what do you still need to learn? Before solving, decide what kind of problem it is: finding the whole (add), finding a part (subtract), more/fewer (add or subtract), how many more (subtract).
Worked examples
A beekeeper has 12 hives in a field, 8 in a melon patch and some in an orchard; 27 in all. In the orchard: 27 − (12 + 8) = 7.
I thought of a number, added 33 and got 76: 76 − 33 = 43.
Class activity
Order puzzle: Lola ate least; Botir more than Madina; Kamron less than Botir but more than Madina; Davron more than Botir. Children line the names up from least to most.
