Explanation
A problem’s condition can be given as text, a picture, a short note or a diagram. Short note: “Watched — 12, To watch — 24, Total — ?”. In a diagram, the whole is a long bar and the parts are pieces of it.
Worked examples
Text: Abror has watched 12 learning films and has 24 more. In all: 12 + 24 = 36.
Diagram: [——12——|————24————] = ? → 36
Class activity
Race a classmate: fill a 3×3 “magic square” with the numbers 1–9 so each row and column adds up to 15.
